Privacy PolicyHow we handle your data

Short and without the legal padding — what gets recorded when you visit this site, what happens when you call us, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: 7 September 2026

The short version: until you consent, this website sets no cookies. If you do consent, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and what they read — we care about totals, not individuals. If you decline, nothing is stored and the site works just the same.

Beyond that there are no input forms and nothing embedded from third-party servers. The rest of the data created about you is the ordinary server log, plus whatever you tell us yourself when you call or write.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is:

KI SA CAR D.O.O.

Franje Vidovića 59e, 43240 Čazma, Croatia

Company ID (OIB): 49225591405

Registered at: Commercial Court in Bjelovar

Phone: +385 98 310 724

E-mail: info@ki-sa-car.hr

For any question about your data, contact us at the e-mail address or phone number above.

2. What happens when you visit this site

Like every web server, the server hosting this site records technical details of each request:

  • the IP address the page was requested from
  • the date and time of the request
  • which page or file was requested
  • the browser and operating system type and version

We do not use these logs to identify or track you. They exist so the site works, so faults can be found, and so attacks on the server can be detected.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the secure and correct operation of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and storage on your device

Until you consent, this website sets no cookies at all. A notice with the choice appears on your first visit.

Whichever you choose, one item is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage):

  • ki-sacar-cookie-consent — records only what you chose, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. Its value is strictly "accepted" or "declined". It contains nothing about you and is never sent anywhere.

If you choose "Accept"

Google Analytics sets two cookies:

  • _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Lasts two years.
  • _ga_C5VD4L9R65 — recognises that requests belong to the same visit. Lasts two years.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

If you choose "Decline"

No cookie is set and no identifier is stored. Google still receives an anonymous signal that the page was opened, but nothing that ties you to a past or future visit. We cannot recognise you as the same person.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it:

This clears the stored choice and brings the notice back. You can also delete the cookies yourself through your browser settings, along with other site data.

4. Analytics and advertising

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from. We are interested in totals, not individuals — we do not try to find out who you are, nor could we.

The data is collected and processed by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may transfer it to servers outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the United States. For such transfers Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Google Analytics 4 truncates your IP address before storing it and never records it in full.

Advertising through Google Ads is planned. If and when it goes live, this section will list any additional cookies it sets — under the same rule: nothing is stored without your consent.

Stated plainly rather than left unsaid — this site still has no:

  • Facebook Pixel or advertising tools other than the Google ones named above
  • embedded maps, videos or posts from other servers
  • external fonts — the typeface is hosted on our own server, so your IP address is not sent to third parties
  • input forms, newsletter sign-ups or user accounts

We do not sell your data and do not pass it to anyone for marketing purposes.

5. When you contact us

When you call us, send a WhatsApp message or write by e-mail, we learn what you tell us yourself — usually your name, phone number, vehicle details and the location we need to come to.

We use this only to answer your enquiry and to carry out the service you asked for.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

If you write to us via WhatsApp, that message is also subject to that service's own terms, over which we have no control.

6. Links to other services

The site contains links to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps. These are ordinary links — until you click them, no data of yours goes to those services. The map on the Contact page is a plain image rather than an embedded Google map, precisely so that nothing is sent before you click.

Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, and their privacy rules apply, not ours.

7. Who else can see the data

Server logs are technically accessible to our hosting provider, which processes them solely on our instructions and for the purpose of maintaining the service.

Records of services performed are passed to our accountants and to the authorities where the law requires it (tax authorities, courts).

If you consented to analytics, data about your visit also goes to Google, as described in section 4.

Beyond that, we share your data with no one.

8. How long we keep data

  • Server logs — for a short period, within the retention applied by the hosting provider, after which they are deleted.
  • Enquiries and messages — as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, and at most two years, in case of complaints.
  • Invoices and accounting records — for the periods required by the Croatian Accounting Act, at least eleven years. We cannot shorten this period even at your request, as it follows from a legal obligation.

9. Your rights

At any time you have the right to:

  • request access to the data we hold about you
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • request erasure, except for data we are legally required to keep
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • request portability of the data you provided to us
  • withdraw consent to analytics, without giving reasons and without consequences — using the button in section 3. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Send your request to info@ki-sa-car.hr or call +385 98 310 724. We will reply within one month. Exercising these rights is free of charge.

10. Complaint to the supervisory authority

If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you may contact the supervisory authority:

Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP)

Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia

azop.hr

We would rather you came to us first — most things are settled with a single phone call.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever what the site does changes. If we introduce further analytics or advertising tools, this page will state which they are, which cookies they set and how you can refuse them — and none will store anything on your device before you agree to it.

The date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.
